The Whole 30 Update

I want to give a recap of day 1 for those of you who are interested.

Well…What I learned yesterday was “be prepared” for success.  The early morning coffee was made with a frothed home crafted almond milk.  Surprisingly “not bad”…but not my vanilla soy milk, so I did miss that at the very start.   Breakfast was tough.  I usually find myself with a healthy overnight oats/ Greek yogurt grab…but I had some berries and a hard boiled egg on the go.   Lunch was better.  I had prepared a healthy salad with some lean broiled pork as my protein and a homemade fresh squeezed lemon juice and olive oil with herb dressing.   For snacks I found myself grabbing fruit.  Dinner was easy.  Lots of grilled veggies with a piece of grilled fish.  I had an after dinner snack of more fresh berries and it was very satisfying.     One additional observation: I slept great!   So on to day 2.  I’m not sure if anyone else is trying this, but if so comment on Facebook if you are so inclined.  August = Clean eating!
